Bringing timber expertise and craftsmanship to every solution.
The 152 year old Victoria Concert Hall plays an important part in Singapore’s growing arts and cultural landscape. It is not only a gazetted national monument, but fills an important role as the home of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
As part of the S$180 million refurbishment of the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, Perswood’s Ipe Walnut from South America was used in along with restored wood from the original 1905 structure. It was the perfect marriage of old and new. We also had to ensure that our work with the timber did not compromise the acoustics of the concert hall. Perswood is proud to have been part of this project to enhance the monumentality of this heritage building.
“For us, maintaining the heritage and story of the Concert Hall was central to its refurbishment. Only Perswood was able to restore the wood used in this historic building to its original condition, helping us to achieve the perfect balance of preservation and modernity.”
Bringing out the best of both worlds. In creating their own gallery, premium developer E&O opted for the beauty and character of a hardwood floor. The result is a contemporary and stunning space built to last and ixnspire. Perswood’s pre-finished floorings are the perfect blend of aesthetics and pragmatism and a proven choice of top architects and designers the world over.
“Perswood customised their craft specially to suit our intended design, which itself is tailored for each individual project.”

Bauhaus Showroom in Jalan Wangsa, Kuala Lumpur features simple and clean lines. A modern, contemporary design with distinctive interiors and architecture.
Complementing the design intent is our balau wood, a hardwearing timber that has suitable colour variations that blends well with the overall tone of the showroom, enhancing the initial design objectives.
Park 7 is an exclusive and luxurious high end condominium development in Malaysia, situated in the KLCC enclave. Perswood was tasked to install the internal floor and outdoor deck.
The architect’s desired look was minimalist, back-to-basics, yet contemporary. To achieve this, premium Tasmanian oak, with its light colour and warmth, fit this requirement perfectly for the internal floors. Balau, with its slightly coarse texture and sometimes interlocking grains, was ideal for the outdoor deck.
